If you can’t do it alone, make sure you have friends in the right places. Partnering is a strategy that helps you accomplish goals together faster than you would on your own. Partnerships (for example in the areas of media, sales or technology) help you to focus on developing your core business and doing what you do best. While letting others do what they do best.

Specialize
Being the best in a particular area makes you remarkable. Being remarkable will help you get noticed. Getting noticed will attract new customers and make your business a success. But how can you afford to focus on a single area if there is so much to do? By finding partners that help you by doing things that are not part of your core business.

Grow
If you have a great product or service, but are a new player in the market, partnering might be a good way to reach potential clients. You can use partners in media and sales or find organizations that can sell your product or service under a white label. This will allow you to grow faster than you would on your own.

Expand
By expanding your product range with offerings from partners you can make your (range of) products or services more complete and attractive. Besides that it can also attract new customers and increase your overall profits.

Action:
- Think about which companies you would like to partner with
- Tell them what’s in it for them and for you
- Work towards building a long-lasting relationship – not a flirt
